Early morning sky
Over Mulholland
Drive – bright like
Moon water. Day
Draws slowly in,
Cream hues that
Come blue in our
Pastel motion –
Bodies pushed
Like tidal flats.
And later, ruby eyes
Turn sunset into an
Open mouth. Orange
Lovers tumble with
Shadows singing in
Tangled sheets –
Breathe sweetly
In low tones. Hot
Blooded / heartfelt
Drawn in with dusk
